Top Fuji musician, Ambassador Sule Adio Atawewe popularly called Akile Fuji, Evangelist Rotimi Onimole, a.k.a. as Oba Ara and Oueen Zeidat Almubarak were recently honoured by the students of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos, during the student’s week for their contributions and efforts in promoting the genres of music they represent.
Atawewe was honoured for his contribution to the development of Fuji music in Nigeria and abroad. Oba Ara was given a meritorious and outstanding award as best gospel singer in the country while Queen Zeidat was honoured as the outstanding Islamic singer.
Dignitaries at the event which took place at the main auditorium of the institution include Baale of Omole land, Alhaji Nasiru and Esther Pot among others.
The three awardees expressed appreciation to the school management and students for honouring them among their colleagues in the industry.
