As the official presentation of King Femi Opalemo’s new album, Double Tuale inches nearer, he is at loggerheads with the management of the new album’s marketing outfit, KY Records.

Opalemo told P.M.NEWS that the marketer has started the air play promotion of the new album shortly after the listening session recently held in Lagos without his knowledge.

“I was just informed on phone that my new album is being aired on various radio stations across the southwest,” he said.

He disclosed further that when he called the marketer to find out, the marketer did not deny it, claiming that he could not wait for the proper release of the album owing to his eagerness to sensitise the public about the gospel album.

The marketer simply identified as Benson explained that he never knew that Opalemo still had some amendments to make in the album.

King of gospel music Opalemo, who is back in the studio for the amendment, however, said it was not a serious rift between them but he took up the marketer because of his desire to ensure that the album comes out perfectly as usual  as the production of the album has taken over a year and over sixty studio sessions which were intended to complement all the efforts.

“I have to go back to the studio to add one or two things like the drums, strings and percussions in order to remain consistent in my style of music in order to meet the expectations of my fans, admirers and music enthusiasts generally.

“I don’t condone mediocre job, which is why the project has taken more than a year and sixty sessions to ensure the best,” he told P.M.NEWS.

Meanwhile, the formal unveiling of the album described as ‘Independence Album’ holds on 1 October at Et-al Hall and Hotels, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
