American actor, comedian, and singer, Eric Marlon Bishop, widely known Jamie Foxx, is facing allegations of sexual assault stemming from an incident that reportedly occurred in 2015.

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the alleged incident occurred in 2015 at Catch, a restaurant in New York City.

The plaintiff, identified simply as Jane Doe, claimed in the lawsuit that Foxx groped her breasts and genitals without her consent.

Doe said she and a friend approached Foxx at the restaurant, requesting to take a photo with him. She claimed he said, “Sure, baby anything for you”.

She alleged he also made comments about her appearance, suggesting that she had a “supermodel body” and smelled “so good”.

The complaint also claimed that Foxx appeared to be intoxicated at the time, alleging the actor moved her to a secluded area of the rooftop, where he assaulted her.

She claimed that she attempted to step away and noticed a security guard and others who saw what had happened but they chose to walk away.

Doe said “he continued his advances until my friend intervened and interrupted the encounter”.

She claimed she suffered injuries and emotional distress as a result of the incident and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages from Foxx.

The actor has not publicly addressed the allegations, and his representatives have declined to comment.

Foxx’s career spans several decades and includes a variety of roles in film and television.

He first gained widespread recognition for his role in the 1999 film ‘Any Given Sunday’.

In April, Foxx was hospitalised due to a medical complication but made a full recovery nearly three months later.
