Eko Club inducts new members to commemorate end-of-year

The Eko Club has organised the 2023 end of the year party with the induction of new members and the presentation of awards to honour members that have made significant contributions to the club since its inception.

The event took place at the Arcade Hall of the Eko Club, Surulere on Tuesday.

President of the Club, Razaak Olugbenga Amodu, commended members of the club for their outstanding and immense support in sustaining the club and bringing development to it over the years.

Amodu said this year’s celebration resonated so much significance because of the uniqueness of the occasion as it is a double celebration.

He added that the Club would be celebrating her 50th anniversary a few days from now.

Amodu stated that the celebration was accompanied by awards presentation and recognition of members who have shown exemplary leadership and elevated in their respective professions.

The President also announced that the new inductees had undergone thorough screening and selection processes handled by a capable membership sub-committee.

He said this enabled the club to keep the prestige, honour and dignity that is the hallmark of the foremost and prestigious club.

According to him, after thorough screening, 15 new intakes were carefully selected in line with constitutional provisions, having satisfied and met all the club’s requirements.

He, therefore, congratulated the new inductees and welcomed them to the fold, just as he added that it is believed that they would bring value and all other needed support to ensure the continuous growth of the club.

The newly inducted members included Barrister Abdul-Rasheed Muri-Okunola, Eng Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani, Taofeek Adewale Olusi, Olabode Oshodi-Glover, Isiaka Durosinlorun Apatira, Oluwabunmi Sulaimon Ottun, Folorunsho Jamiu Fashola, Olanrewaju Taiwo Dosunmu, Adeyemi Alexander Gbajumo, Babatunde N. Animashaun-Quadri, Shakiru Kolawole Yusuf, Winston Oladimeji Gbajumo, Oluwayemisi R.Dania, Stephen Owolabi Martins, Habeeb Abiodun Sanni, Abdul Azeez Adewale Mustapha and John Campos Ogundare

The high points of the event included the commissioning of the Club’s remodelled Reception Hall, recognition of excellence and flag off of Eko Club at 50, among others.
