The Eko Club has kick-started its 50th anniversary with a special New Year interdenominational prayers for both the deceased and the living members.

President of the club, Razaak Olugbenga Amodu, said that there was a great need to appreciate God for his mercy and guidance on the living members and that God should in his infinite mercy repose the soul of the deceased members.

He, however, commended the initiative of the 93 founding fathers, who in their wisdom established the club, saying, “Their vision has become members’ pride today”.

Amodu commended both living and dead for their immense contributions that had made the club the entity it has become, saying that “without these members, the club would not have attained so much in the last 50 years of existence.”

He added that the club has been reinvigorated with the expansion of its assets, both physical and temporary, saying that the club witnessed the induction of new members, individual growth and a deepened interpersonal relationship with a lot still to be unveiled.

Amodu, however, sought continued support from members through prompt payment of annual dues, donations, and especially words of advice to move the club to greater ground of achievements.
