Renowned singer and former member of The Remedies, Tony Tetuila, has alleged that his former bandmates Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Remedy orchestrated his expulsion from the group.

He said this was despite the fact that his mother was the group’s initial sponsor.

In a recent podcast interview, Eedris Abdulkareem stated that The Remedies disbanded due to Eddy’s greed, as he proposed an unequal distribution of music revenue, excluding Tetuila from having an equal share.

Following this meeting, Abdulkareem claims to have informed Tetuila to prepare for a solo career.

He said, “Eedris connived with Eddy and kicked me out of The Remedies despite the fact that it was my mum who brought the money that was used to sponsor the group in the beginning. I was so heartbroken and shattered. It was Daddy Showkey who encouraged me and told me that I could do it alone.

“Blackface was another person who helped me. He brought me close and taught me how I could write my own songs. Blackface is a very great guy. I’d never forget the role he played in my career.

In response, Tetuila took to social media to express his surprise, countering Abdulkareem and Remedy’s statement.

He revealed feeling “heartbroken and shattered” by his expulsion from the group, crediting Daddy Showkey and Blackface for supporting him in transitioning to a solo artist.

Tetuila accused Abdulkareem and Remedy of collaborating against him, contradicting Abdulkareem’s claims of sacrifices for the music industry.

On the other hand, Eddy Remedy refuted claims that Tetuila’s mother used her money to sponsor the group, stating he wasn’t privy to such an arrangement until the rumour surfaced.

He claimed he used using $5,000 received from his parents after completing his education to finance the group.
