Newcastle United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Saturday, thanks to a stunning header by Alexander Isak.

The Swedish striker’s precision finish compounded the Gunners’ frustrations, as Mikel Arteta’s side struggled to capitalise on key opportunities.

The opening moments of the game saw Arsenal pressing hard, with Bukayo Saka firing a close-range shot that skimmed just past the right post in the 11th minute, setting an early tone for a fiercely competitive match.

However, just a minute later, Newcastle found their moment to shine. Anthony Gordon, in a display of flair, lofted a brilliant cross into the box, finding Isak, who rose above Arsenal’s defenders to powerfully head the ball into the net, putting Newcastle ahead at 1-0.

Arsenal fought back with determination, creating a series of opportunities, including another close call for Saka in the 19th minute when he narrowly missed a header from inside the box.
