MC Tee Rock expands Nigerian cultural influence in the United States
Nigerian-American entrepreneur and master of ceremonies, Taiwo Lawrence Osijo, popularly known as MC T-ROKC (also known as MC Tee Rock), is steadily building a reputation for advancing Nigerian cultural presence in the United States.
Through his company, Cr8tivTeck LLC, and his growing portfolio of event hosting engagements, he has combined business and entertainment to strengthen cultural ties between Nigeria and the diaspora.
Established in 2019, Cr8tivTeck LLC is a Maryland-based consulting and event management company that supports startups and small businesses while curating luxury and cultural events.
One of its flagship showcases, the “Bugatti & Ferrari on Water” event held at National Harbor in 2024, drew attention for blending high-end lifestyle with cross-cultural networking.
Osijo is also part of the organising team for the upcoming Lagos-DMV Afrobeats Festival, a collaboration between Royal Entertainment USA and Nigeria’s Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM). The festival is expected to celebrate Nigeria’s global music influence while strengthening diaspora relations in the United States.
Since moving to the U.S. in 2018, Osijo has hosted close to 200 events across different states, including weddings, corporate galas, birthday parties, product launches, and networking programmes. His stage presence, often described as stylish and engaging, has earned him recognition within the multicultural entertainment scene. He is popularly nicknamed “The James Bond of Event Hosting and The Party Rocker.”
Beyond entertainment, Osijo has invested time in community service. He co-founded the Healing Hearts & Warmth Foundation, which provides food, free medications, and winter clothing to underserved families in Maryland, especially during festive and cold seasons. He also works with FHCB Health Systems, Safe Streets Baltimore, and Catholic Charities in outreach and community development initiatives.
In addition, he regularly mentors young people in communication and public speaking, drawing from his background in both business and entertainment.
Osijo’s work has been featured in Nigerian media outlets including The Sun Nigeria and Leadership Nigeria. In 2024, he received a Special Recognition Award from Royal Entertainment USA for his contributions to event hosting and cultural promotion.
Through his dual roles as an entrepreneur and event host, Taiwo Lawrence Osijo continues to play a part in projecting Nigerian culture in the United States. His activities, ranging from luxury showcases to diaspora festivals and community initiatives, reflect a broader commitment to cultural representation and the promotion of Nigerian identity abroad.
