Chelsea floor Leverkusen in pre-season clash

Chelsea continued their winning run in pre-season with a tidy 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Friday, with Estêvão Willian and João Pedro finding the back of the net.

The teenage sensation Estêvão got the Blues flying early, slotting home in the 18th minute after a lively start that saw Leverkusen’s R. Andrich booked just seven minutes in, and Chelsea’s T. Chalobah cautioned six minutes later.

Leverkusen’s frustrations grew when J. Quansah also saw yellow in the 26th minute, as Chelsea kept control going into the break.

The game was wrapped up in the dying moments when João Pedro kept his cool to bury Chelsea’s second in the 90th minute, sealing a confidence-boosting win as the Blues fine-tune for the new season.
