Nigerian Taekwondoists Are Not Exposed —Nnaji
President of Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria, TFN, Jonathan Nnaji, has identified lack of exposure as the factor militating against the growth of the sport in the country.
Nnaji said that the bane of Nigerian taekwondo is lack of exposure and the inability of the fighters to have access to modern equipment.
“What is really militating against our boys is lack of exposure. That is what is affecting them whenever they go for international competitions. There is need for them to be exposed to modern equipment,†said the TFN topshot.
Nnaji said further that Nigerian fighters are often distracted whenever they come in contact with the state-of-the-art equipment during international tourneys.
“Our fighters are busy looking at halls and equipment whenever they go abroad for competitions. The reason is that the boys do not have adequate exposure and they lack modern equipment that they can train with in the country,†said Nnaji.
