AFCON 2025: Morocco deploys high-tech video tools to study Super Eagles

Quick Read

Real Madrid forward Brahim Díaz is currently the top scorer in the competition with five goals, just one more than Nigeria’s star striker, Victor Osimhen.

Morocco’s national team coach, Walid Regragui, and his coaching crew are carefully studying Nigeria’s Super Eagles using advanced video technology ahead of their 1XBET AFCON 2025 semi-final clash.

According to a Moroccan newspaper, AlMountakhab, the analysis is taking place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, where Morocco’s technical team is reviewing Nigeria’s matches in detail.

Morocco will face Nigeria in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The Super Eagles reached the semi-final after defeating Algeria 2-0. Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams scored the goals. With that victory, Nigeria have now beaten two North African teams in the tournament.

Morocco also booked their semi-final place after a 2-0 win over Cameroon.

Regragui and his assistants, Rachid Benmahmoud and Bouhazama, are receiving detailed tactical reports from their analysis team. The goal is to fully understand Nigeria’s style of play, strengths, and possible weaknesses before the match.

Morocco have been impressive at AFCON 2025, showing strong form in both attack and defence. They have scored nine goals and kept four clean sheets so far.

Nigeria, however, are the tournament’s highest-scoring team with 14 goals. The Super Eagles have also kept clean sheets in their last two knockout matches.

Real Madrid forward Brahim Díaz is currently the top scorer in the competition with five goals, just one more than Nigeria’s star striker, Victor Osimhen.
