“I am over the moon to have extended my contract – Chelsea means so much to me. I have always said I want my peak years to be here, and I truly believe we have everything it takes to build on our previous successes,” James said.

Reece James has signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea FC that will keep him at the club until June 2032.

The England international expressed his delight after committing his future to the London club, describing Chelsea as a place that means a lot to him.

“I am over the moon to have extended my contract, Chelsea means so much to me. I have always said I want my peak years to be here, and I truly believe we have everything it takes to build on our previous successes,” James said.

The right-back, who came through Chelsea’s academy, has been one of the club’s most important players in recent seasons. Known for his defensive strength, pace and attacking ability from the flank, James has also served as one of the team’s leaders on and off the pitch.

Chelsea view the new contract as part of their long-term project to keep key players at the club as they aim to compete strongly in the Premier League and European competitions.

His contract extension is expected to strengthen Chelsea’s squad stability as the club continues to rebuild for future success.
