Sterling opened scoring for Chelsea in the first half as he broke through before collecting a brilliant pass and producing a precise strike to beat the goalkeeper.

On 61st minute, A pass found Ryan Giles on the edge of the box, and he drilled the ball towards the middle of the goal. Robert Sanchez was almost caught out but pulled off a brilliant save at the last second to deny Luton an equaliser.

Sterling got his brace midway into the second half. He took a great first touch to control a killer pass on the edge of the box and drilled a shot into the bottom left corner in trademark fashion.

Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea’s third goal late into the game. He latched on to a pass and produced a perfect strike from the edge of the box that went inside the left post and past the goalkeeper.
