Robbers Machete OPC Woman Leader

A woman leader of a faction of the Oodua Peoples Congress(OPC), Mrs Fatimoh Olatoyinbo a.k.a Iya Oodua, has been attacked and wounded by robbers.

P.M.NEWS investigation revealed that she was contacted on her phone by some of the landlords at Omotayo/ Owolabi Street, Agege, that robbers were attacking residents of the area and collecting money, phones, laptops and other valuable items.

The woman, who belongs to the Frederick Fashehun faction of the OPC, however, went to the place alone on a rescue mission only to be attacked by four of the robbers who shot her right leg.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS on her hospital bed where she is recuperating, Mrs Olatoyinbo said: “On that day I got a phone call from some landlords in the area that robbers were robbing in OmotayoOwolabi Street, Agege and when I got there, one of the robbers was already tied down by the residents.

“Another robber called Kabiru, the late Apena’s son at Agbontikuyo saw me at the scene and he slapped me and started hacking me with cutlass. He was later joined by other robbers whose names are Wiper, Egunwewe and Omojo Ibo.

“I was beaten silly to the extent that I started bleeding from my private part. They also dragged me on the ground, saying they had come to revenge the killing of a member of the gang who was set ablaze in the past.

“When they looked at me and thought I was dead, they escaped with the other robber that was tied. Before they left, they took both the phone and the money on me.”

The incident is being investigated by the police at Elere Division.
