The Confederation of African Football, CAF has sent its condolences to the NigerianÂ football community, expressing great shock over the death of two referess who slumpedÂ during a FIFA Cooper Test in Abuja yesterday.
Two Nigerian referees; Oyetola Olatunde, a national league referee from Oyo State andÂ Faloye Matthew Bankole, a Premier League referee from Ogun State slumped during theÂ fitness test held at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
Following the shocking deaths of the refs, a concerned CAF immediately sent words to theÂ secretariat of NFF to know what went wrong , and commiserated with Nigeria.
The Acting General Secretary of NFF Musa Amadu and Media Officer, Robinson Okosun, whoÂ confirmed the deaths said it was a tragedy to the countryâ€™s football.
